A Level 2 home charger is the difference between rolling out of the driveway every morning with a full battery and babysitting a regular outlet for two days to get the same charge. Wave Electrical installs Level 2 EV chargers across Baldwin County — Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint, Wallbox, Grizzl-E, JuiceBox, whatever you’ve picked — and handles the 240V circuit, the panel work, and the permitting that goes with it. Jimmy’s licensed and insured, and the install is done to current NEC standards so it passes inspection and stays safe for the life of the car.

EV adoption around Fairhope, Daphne, and Spanish Fort has picked up fast over the last few years. A lot of those homes were never wired with a Level 2 install in mind, which is why the first thing Wave Electrical does on every EV job is check the panel.

When you need this

  • You just bought an EV and the included mobile charger isn’t keeping up
  • You’re charging on a standard 120V outlet and it’s taking 30+ hours to top off
  • You’re building a new home or remodeling a garage and want the wiring done now
  • You want an outdoor-rated 240V receptacle for a portable Level 2 or a future charger
  • You manage a short-term rental or commercial property and need to add EV charging for guests or employees

What the process looks like

Jimmy starts with a free quote visit. He looks at your panel, measures the run from the panel to where the charger will mount, checks whether you’ll need an outdoor-rated receptacle or a hardwired install, and confirms there’s enough capacity in the panel for a new 40 or 50-amp circuit. If the panel’s already full or undersized, he’ll tell you straight — sometimes a small load calculation gets you home free, and sometimes a panel upgrade is part of the job.

You’ll get a written quote covering the charger install, any panel work, the permit, and labor. Most home installs are done in a half day. Jimmy runs the circuit, mounts the charger, terminates everything cleanly, tests the unit, and walks you through the app setup if your charger has one. The inspector signs off and you’re charging at full speed that night.

For commercial EV installations — apartment buildings, hotels, office parking — Wave Electrical scopes the load calculation, the conduit runs, and the panel capacity from your home to your business, and coordinates with the property owner or GC on timing.

It’s a clean install, code-compliant, done right the first time.
